Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC. is seeking a Senior Electronics Cost Estimating Engineer to lead cost-estimating for RFQs, design-to-cost studies, and teardowns.

You will own eBOM cost estimates, engage suppliers, and drive architecture choices toward lowest-cost, compliant electronics solutions. You will coordinate with Electronics and Purchasing, manage cost walks, and deliver defensible estimates under tight RFQ timelines, often less than 24 hours, while maintaining traceability and data integrity across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related electronics discipline.
• 5–10+ years of electronics engineering experience with hardware design, system architecture, or electronics product development.
• Experience designing automotive or high-reliability electronics.
• Ability to translate customer specs into electronic architectures and circuit requirements.
• Experience with Altium Designer, schematic capture, and eBOM generation.
• Familiarity with automotive components cost and PCB/PCBA manufacturing cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronics cost-estimating activities for RFQs, engineering changes, and awarded programs.
• Develop or lead preliminary schematics and eBOMs for cost estimation.
• Perform cost walks and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coordinate with Suppliers, Electronics, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams.
• Produce cost-estimate summaries and maintain traceability of pricing sources.
