Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a Senior Electronics Cost Estimating Engineer to lead electronics cost estimating, design-to-cost architecture, and competitive benchmarking. You will drive RFQ cost estimates, develop eBOMs, and coordinate with global teams to ensure lowest-cost compliant electronics solutions.

The role requires senior-level electronics engineering expertise, experience with Altium Designer, and the ability to deliver defensible cost estimates under tight RFQ timing.

Qualifications

• BSEE or closely related electronics engineering discipline.
• 5–10+ years of electronics engineering experience.
• Experience with automotive electronics hardware.
• Translate requirements into electronic architectures.
• Strong schematic design and eBOM generation with Altium.
• Knowledge of PCB/PCBA cost drivers and manufacturing costs.
• Experience reverse-engineering electronics hardware.
• Read complex customer specifications and translate them into architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQ cost-estimating activities and design-to-cost architecture.
• Review customer RFQs, specs, and interfaces to determine electronics content.
• Develop preliminary schematics and costed eBOMs with engineers.
• Perform competitive benchmarking and teardown analyses.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Purchasing for supplier pricing.
• Communicate cost estimates and risks to stakeholders.
