Job summary

Arora Engineers LLC is seeking a Cost Engineer to lead cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for infrastructure, aviation, transportation, and facilities projects shown in the project portfolio. You will coordinate with PMs, construction managers, and design teams to ensure accurate cost baselines and informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for large infrastructure programs.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Experience with multiple delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, GC/CM).
• Proficiency with project controls software and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, design-phase, and construction cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, analyses, and cost evaluations using standard practices.
• Support development of budgets, funding needs, and capital plans.
• Review estimates from consultants, designers, and contractors for reasonableness.
• Develop cost baselines, forecasts, and EAC projections.
• Monitor expenditures and identify variances with corrective actions.
• Coordinate cost management with schedules and risk management.
• Support change management and include cost implications of scope changes.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Support earned value management and trend analysis.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to standard procedures.
