Job summary

Electronic Data, Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer to develop and monitor project costs across infrastructure, aviation, transportation, and facilities projects in the Los Angeles area.

You will lead cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, risk analysis, and performance measurement to support successful delivery. You will collaborate with project managers, contractors, consultants and client stakeholders to ensure budgets are realistic and aligned with cost objectives, identifying cost risks and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Economics, Project Management, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CCP, PSP, PMP, CEP, CCM, PE or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates at conceptual, preliminary, design-phase and construction stages.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, estimate analyses, and cost evaluations.
• Review estimates and ensure alignment with budgets and funding.
• Establish cost baselines, budgets, and forecasting methodologies.
• Monitor expenditures, variances, and forecast at completion.
• Support procurement, bids, and change negotiations.
• Coordinate with project teams for cost performance and risk management.
• Create cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
