Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our team and provide expert cost management on large-scale data center programs. This client-facing leadership role requires the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and deliver strategic cost management across the project lifecycle.

You will lead cost plans, forecasts, and governance, coordinating with scheduling and procurement teams while driving value engineering and market

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in cost management or project controls in construction.
• Proven client-facing delivery in consultancy environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and campus-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, Earned Value Management, and procurement.
• Proficiency with cost management tools such as CostX, Oracle, Excel, Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost management across all project phases for hyperscale data centers and other sectors.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, estimates, and forecasts.
• Manage change control, review cost variances and governance.
• Oversee pricing reviews, procurement strategy, and contracting guidance.
• Coordinate with scheduling teams to integrate cost forecasts with timelines.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Interface with clients and vendors, building strong relationships.
• Drive cost risk analysis, scenario planning, and market trend insights.
• Develop cost optimization and value engineering strategies.
• Lead KPI setting and senior leader presentations.
• Manage financial performance and implement delivery methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost processes and knowledge management.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance reviews.
• Act as a brand ambassador and develop market opportunities.
• Participate in proposals and networking to expand relationships.
