Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a seasoned Cost Control Manager to lead project cost management, oversee budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and trends across major capital projects.

You will provide financial visibility to client and PMC leadership and drive cost performance against objectives. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 15+ years of cost controls experience, and proficiency in cost management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of cost control, cost management, forecasting, or project controls experience supporting major capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting methodologies, project accounting interfaces, and performance analysis.
• Experience supporting large industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project cost management activities, including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cost performance reporting.
• Monitor project performance against approved budgets, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain estimate-at-completion (EAC), cash flow, and funding forecasts.
• Support change management activities by evaluating cost impacts and maintaining budget alignment.
• Provide cost analysis, forecasting insights, and performance reporting to client and PMC leadership.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure accurate cost collection, reporting, and forecasting.
• Lead and develop the cost control team while promoting cost management best practices.
