Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant at our Wisconsin production site to own cost visibility and drive profitability. You will work with operations leadership to analyze materials, labor, and overhead, and you’ll influence budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with strong financial modeling.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in cost accounting or manufacturing finance, hands-on month-end close experience, ERP proficiency, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve costing structures, standards, and assumptions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with modeling.
• Guide strategic decisions through cost analysis and profitability insights.
• Build and maintain cost models, pricing inputs, and operational metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes.

We’re partnered with a growing manufacturer looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to take ownership of cost visibility and financial performance at a key production site. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work directly with operations leadership, driving smarter decisions, improving profitability, and bringing clarity to the numbers that matter most. What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the month-end close process for a manufacturing site, ensuring accurate reporting across materials, labor, and overhead
• Dive into variances (PPV, material, labor, overhead) and drive real solutions, not just reporting
• Partner with operations, procurement, and leadership to identify cost savings and efficiency gains
• Improve and challenge costing structures, standards, and assumptions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with strong financial modeling
• Help guide strategic decisions through cost analysis, CapEx evaluation, and profitability insights
• Build and maintain cost models, pricing inputs, and operational metrics
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and reporting

What They’re Looking For

• 5–10 years in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
• Strong experience in a plant or production environment
• Hands-on ownership of month-end close and variance analysis
• ERP system experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Someone who can work independently but also influence across teams
