Jobot partners with a growing manufacturing organization to recruit a Senior Cost Accountant for the Marion, WI site. You will own cost visibility and drive financial performance at a key production site.

Responsibilities

• Own the site month-end close for cost reporting across materials, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze variances (PPV, material, labor, overhead) and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and leadership to identify cost savings.
• Improve costing structures, standards, and assumptions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with robust modeling.
• Build cost models, pricing inputs, and key operational metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.
• Provide profitability insights to guide strategic decisions.

Are you someone who can break down complex numbers and turn them into real business decisions? We’re partnered with a growing manufacturer looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to take ownership of cost visibility and financial performance at a key production site.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work directly with operations leadership, driving smarter decisions, improving profitability, and bringing clarity to the numbers that matter most. If you enjoy being in the middle of the action and influencing how a plant runs, this is it.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the month-end close process for a manufacturing site, ensuring accurate reporting across materials, labor, and overhead
• Dive into variances (PPV, material, labor, overhead) and drive real solutions, not just reporting
• Partner with operations, procurement, and leadership to identify cost savings and efficiency gains
• Improve and challenge costing structures, standards, and assumptions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with strong financial modeling
• Help guide strategic decisions through cost analysis, CapEx evaluation, and profitability insights
• Build and maintain cost models, pricing inputs, and operational metrics
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and reporting

What They’re Looking For:

• 5–10 years in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
• Strong experience in a plant or production environment
• Hands-on ownership of month-end close and variance analysis
• ERP system experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Someone who can work independently but also influence across teams
