Job summary

The University of Kansas Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Laboratory Coordinator (Correlative Lab) to coordinate oncology trial specimen collection, processing, and shipping for pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics studies across industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials.

Responsibilities include collaborating with nursing and physicians, managing central samples, assisting with training, and ensuring meticulous documentation and compliance while traveling between KU facilities for

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience (education may substitute on a year-for-year basis).
• 1 year of laboratory assistance and laboratory technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate specimen collection, processing, and shipping for trial participants.
• Collaborate with nursing, coordinators, physicians, and patients to collect central study samples.
• Ship research specimens and follow IATA/DOT guidelines; liaise with Tissue Repository.
• Perform study-specific ECGs and transmit data per protocol.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and onboarding of junior staff.
• Travel between KU facilities for meetings and specimen transport.
• Maintain study flowsheets and ensure data accuracy.
