Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator for the Correlative Lab in the Cancer Center. The role involves coordinating collection and shipment of oncology trial specimens, managing supplies, and assisting with start-up activities.

The position is 100% onsite at the Clinical Research Center in Kansas City. Qualified candidates will have a biology/chemistry related bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant lab experience, with HIPAA knowledge and oncology

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience; education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience with HIPAA guidelines and research regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection and shipment of oncology trial specimens per protocol requirements.
• Manage inventory of study supplies and kit orders; ensure proper destruction of kits.
• Assist with study start-up requirements and monitor visits as needed.
• Perform study-specific ECGs and enter data into EMR/LIS as per protocol.
• Maintain specimen integrity and coordinate with nursing, coordinators, physicians, and patients.
