Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Programs Director II (NS) to lead and supervise diverse treatment and activity programs at a multi-custody male facility. You will oversee staff performance and coordinate program delivery to improve outcomes for offenders.

Reporting to the Associate Warden of Programs, you will manage case management, recreation, volunteer initiatives, and specialized treatment programs while collaborating with community resources to support

Qualifications

• Documented experience organizing and supervising large staff and offender programs.
• Ability to interpret departmental policies and develop guidelines.
• Experience managing personnel and training staff.
• Knowledge of vocational, academic, or correctional programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and assign duties for major treatment and activity areas.
• Oversee statewide program scope and complexities beyond a Director I role.
• Monitor programs: case management, recreation, community volunteers, incentives, and cognitive-behavioral interventions.
• Collaborate with community groups and utilize community resources.
