Job summary

State of North Carolina is seeking the Correctional Associate Warden for Programs II to oversee a wide range of offender programs at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh. This role leads case management, chaplaincy, treatment, and educational services, ensuring adherence to policy and evidence-based practices.

You will supervise program staff, coordinate across departments, and contribute to strategic facility operations while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, plus two years of supervisory experience in correctional programs.
  • Experience managing program services including classification, chaplaincy, and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Ability to interpret assessment results and apply offender program needs.
  • Must meet certification requirements by NC Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for program services at the NC Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh.
  • Oversee program sections including case management, chaplaincy, treatment, education, and transitional services.
  • Establish operating procedures and standards for all program services.
  • Train staff in areas under supervision and participate in executive management planning.
  • Prepare reports and coordinate with staff, families, attorneys, agencies, and the public.
