Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Programs Director I (NS) at a multi-custody male correctional facility. You will direct offender programs, oversee major program areas including classification, recreation, and counseling, and supervise staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities include coordinating with custody staff and serving in custody during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Documented experience with report writing.
• Documented knowledge of case management practices, or supportive counseling techniques and/or interviewing techniques for intake assessments.

Responsibilities

• Direct and administer programs on a broader scope for offenders.
• Direct a major program (offender classification; correctional programs; and supportive counseling).
• Supervise subordinate personnel responsible for daily program implementation.
• Coordinate programs with custody staff.
• Serve in a custody role during emergencies as needed.
