Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Housing Unit Manager II (S) at Eastern Correctional Institution in Maury, NC. Candidates must have a High School diploma, five years of correctional experience with at least two in a supervisory capacity, and be eligible for NC CJETS certification.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma; five years of correctional experience, two of which must be supervisory.
• Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the correctional housing unit in the CHUM II role when CHUM III is unavailable.
• Provide leadership and ensure staff are trained, informed, and prepared for duties.
• Coordinate shift schedules and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Maintain facility security and safety per regulations and standards.
• Prepare and review reports and evaluate staff performance.
