Job summary

The County of Adams seeks a Lieutenant (Correctional Complex) to oversee daily facility operations, safety, and security. You will supervise staff and inmates and act asShift Commander when needed.

The role is full-time, with a 12-hour shift pattern. Essential personnel required to report regardless of weather conditions; PA-based facility in Gettysburg. Minimum qualifications listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Corrections Officer in a prison setting is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable subject (criminal justice, psychology, sociology, drug and alcohol treatment, etc.) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the facility, including safety and security.
• Supervise subordinate staff and inmate population.
• Serve as Shift Commander in the absence of the Warden or duty officer.
