Job summary

The DC Department of Corrections, Central Detention Facility (CDF) and Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF) locations are seeking a Lieutenant who will supervise three shifts and apply correctional leadership practices in a demanding environment.

Under the general supervision of a Captain, the Lieutenant plans assignments, monitors safety measures, conducts roll calls, and coordinates with law enforcement for investigations as required.

Qualifications

• Specialized leadership experience in supervisory roles within a correctional setting.
• Experience providing direction to staff and coordinating security operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise shift operations across three shifts.
• Conduct roll calls and ensure adherence to post orders and safety protocols.
• Coordinate investigations and interface with law enforcement when needed.
