Job summary

Axon seeks an Assistant General Counsel, Corporate and M&A, to lead high‑level transactional work and strategic corporate matters. You will report to the Chief Legal Officer and oversee key initiatives, coordinating with the Board, C‑Suite, and external counsel while ensuring compliance with securities laws and governance requirements.

Location is hybrid with bases in Boston or NYC. The role emphasizes experience at top firms, strong writing and negotiation skills, and a passion for Axon’s

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to a State Bar within the United States.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience at a top-tier law firm; in-house a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in M&A, securities law and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the legal strategy for M&A activities.
• Advise on securities laws and reporting requirements.
• Lead and coordinate due diligence for M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Manage external counsel and coordinate with Corporate Development and SEC/Financial Reporting teams.
• Provide post-merger integration legal support and regulatory compliance.
