Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Corporate Investigator to join its Ethics & Compliance team. The role leads complex internal investigations into employee misconduct, ethics concerns, and business integrity matters, coordinating with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate possesses deep investigative expertise, exceptional report-writing skills, sound judgment, and professionalism in sensitive situations. Remote or distributed work environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with experience as a corporate investigator in corporate or government settings.
• Ability to independently manage complex investigations from intake through resolution.
• Strong interviewing, evidence-gathering, analytical, and fact-finding skills.
• Exceptional written communication, including investigative reports and recommendations.
• Experience handling multiple cases with deadlines and maintaining quality.
• Demonstrated discretion with highly sensitive information and strong stakeholder management.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end internal investigations involving employee misconduct, ethics concerns, and business integrity matters.
• Manage multiple investigations concurrently, prioritizing by risk, complexity, and impact.
• Conduct interviews with employees, witnesses, and stakeholders in a neutral, professional manner.
• Evaluate evidence and findings to identify trends, risks, and root causes.
• Prepare comprehensive Reports of Investigation with clear analysis and well-supported conclusions.
• Present findings and recommendations to HR, Legal, and senior leaders with credibility.
