Job summary

Nordex North America is seeking an attorney to advise business teams on complex commercial matters across North America. You will draft, review, and negotiate supply, maintenance, and financing agreements, while guiding risk and regulatory considerations.

The role partners with Sales, Procurement, Project Management and Service, supporting governance, employment, and insurance matters within a fast-paced, global renewable-energy environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active license to practice law in one or more U.S. states.
• 4–8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department supporting international or global business operations.
• Experience with supply, service, purchasing, subcontractor, and project financing agreements.
• Ability to work independently while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Business-oriented mindset with risk assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and service providers.
• Support the negotiation of supply agreements, maintenance agreements, financing agreements, warranty documents, and other project-related contracts.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to business leaders across Sales, Procurement, Project Management, Service, Finance, and Human Resources.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
• Manage legal disputes, claims investigations, and coordinate with outside counsel when required.
• Support insurance-related matters, including claims management and coverage analysis.
• Assist with corporate governance matters, government registrations, corporate resolutions, and compliance documentation.
• Provide legal support on risk management, regulatory compliance, employment matters, and other legal projects as needed.
• Collaborate with Nordex’s global legal team on international legal initiatives and cross-border transactions.
