Nordex Group is seeking an Attorney to serve as a key legal advisor to business teams, focusing on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for wind turbine and renewable energy projects across North America.

You will partner with Sales, Project Management, Service, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and HR to drive objectives while managing legal risk. This is a full-time role based in Portland, OR.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active license to practice law in one or more U.S. states.
• 4–8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house department.
• Strong commercial contracting, negotiation, and drafting experience.
• Experience with supply, service, purchasing, subcontractor, and project financing agreements.
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Business-oriented mindset with risk assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and service providers.
• Support negotiation of supply, maintenance, financing, warranty, and project-related agreements.
• Provide legal advice to business leaders across Sales, Procurement, Project Management, Service, Finance, and HR.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
• Manage disputes and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Support insurance and risk management matters.
• Assist with governance, registrations, and compliance documentation.
• Support regulatory compliance and cross-border transactions.
