Job summary

Samsung HME America, the U.S. medical imaging arm of Samsung Electronics, seeks a Corporate Counsel to lead the legal strategy and risk management for the enterprise.

This executive role oversees governance, regulatory compliance, transactions, employment matters, IP, and privacy, partnering with the leadership team to drive growth while upholding the highest ethical standards. You will guide external counsel, manage the legal department, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives, while

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible legal experience, including significant corporate or in-house leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success advising executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
• Extensive experience in commercial transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and enterprise risk.
• Strong leadership and people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on legal, regulatory, governance, and business matters.
• Develop and execute the organization's legal strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead and manage the legal department and external counsel.
• Foster a culture of ethics, integrity, accountability, and legal compliance across the organization.
• Oversee corporate governance practices, board meetings, committee activities, and corporate records.
• Oversee negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements.
• Provide guidance on partnerships, procurement, sales, licensing, technology, and vendor relationships.
• Direct enterprise compliance programs and oversee investigations.
• Lead legal due diligence and transaction documentation for mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide executive-level guidance on employment law and workforce policies.
• Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and IP protection.
