Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is seeking a Senior Corporate Controller to lead the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting, internal controls, and the close process for a public company. You will guide SEC disclosures, depth of technical accounting, and collaboration with auditors and executives.

The role demands deep public-company accounting expertise, strategic leadership of the finance team, and the ability to drive scalable processes as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience.
• At least five years in a senior controller or equivalent leadership position.
• Significant public-company experience, including direct responsibility for SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, external audit, and Audit Committee materials.
• Deep technical accounting expertise with the ability to independently evaluate complex matters and defend conclusions.
• Experience leading a sizable, multi-level accounting organization and developing senior professionals.
• Ability to influence enterprise decisions with financial judgment and analytical rigor.
• Experience with ERP, financial reporting, close management, or finance transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the completeness, accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Company's consolidated financial statements and related reporting.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with clear standards for quality and timeliness.
• Prepare and review Forms 10-K and 10-Q, disclosures, and support for earnings releases and investor communications.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Evaluate complex accounting matters, challenge conclusions, and defend positions with external auditors and the Audit Committee.
• Ensure scalable accounting processes as the Company grows.
• Own the Sarbanes-Oxley program and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Partner with Internal Audit, IT, and business leaders to address control deficiencies promptly.
• Provide strategic leadership across finance functions and develop a high-performing team.
