Job summary

Miss A Stores in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Corporate Accountant to manage inventory and cost accounting, GL reconciliations, and tax support. You will oversee landed costs, COGS analysis, and monthly close while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires at least 5 years in corporate accounting, proficiency in Korean and English, and strong Excel/ERP capabilities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably with hands-on responsibility for month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Experience in an inventory-based business, such as retail, wholesale, e-commerce, distribution, or importing.
• Strong working knowledge of landed costs, inventory valuation and reconciliation, COGS, and gross margin analysis.
• Experience with AP aging, three-way matching, invoice reviews, and payment controls.
• Familiarity with U.S. payroll tax reporting, corporate and indirect tax workpapers, and GAAP/MACRS depreciation.
• Working knowledge of ASC 842.
• Professional proficiency in Korean and English.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP and inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate accounting records.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly inventory reconciliations across multiple entities and ensure GL reflects inventory balances.
• Calculate and allocate landed costs (freight, duties, import expenses).
• Review monthly COGS, gross margins and inventory valuation for variances.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with warehouse/operations to resolve issues.
• Reconcile warehouse inventory with GL and manage intercompany transactions.
• Prepare schedules and reconciliations for monthly reporting; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support audits and tax examinations with requested schedules and explanations.
