Job summary

At Home Group Inc. in Coppell, TX is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant to own core inventory accounting and financial close activities. You will ensure accurate inventory valuation and COGS reporting under U.S.

GAAP, working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid home-office setup. The role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in inventory accounting, and ERP experience (SAP/JDA). You will support quarterly counts, process improvements, and audits while partnering with Accounting,

Qualifications

Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and inventory/cost accounting.
Retail industry and SAP experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Prepare and reconcile inventory-related journal entries, accruals, reserves, and balance sheet accounts.
Reconcile inventory subledger to the general ledger, including JDA-to-SAP postings and variances.
Calculate and validate LOCM and Sales Return Reserve, with quarterly audit lookbacks.
Analyze monthly inventory and COGS fluctuations and explain material movements.
