Job summary

The Container Store is hiring for a Senior Accountant role based in Dallas/Ft. Worth. You will manage inventory accounting transactions, reconcile inventories, and support monthly closes and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Accounting required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of General Ledger experience.
• Inventory/COGS experience strongly preferred.
• Retail industry experience is a plus.
• Based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accounting transactions including shrink, in-transit and stock movements.
• Oversee inventory reconciliations and cost of sales analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and support budgeting/forecasting.
• Assist with internal audits and external audits as needed.
• Communicate with other departments on accounting questions.
• Protect confidential information and meet deadlines.
