Job summary

Pearson is seeking Learning Subject Matter Experts to join our Assessment & Qualifications team. The role focuses on editorial excellence, quality assurance, and collaboration across departments to produce high‑quality assessment content.

You'll apply strong copyediting skills, understand educational assessment foundations, and leverage Pearson platforms and AI tools to enhance content while meeting deadlines and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/on‑the‑job training.
• Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ educational assessment experience.
• Strong end‑to‑end copyediting proficiency including spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and usage.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and MS Office 365 apps (Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Excel).
• Understanding of HTML/XML basics for web publishing and evolving software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per department, client, and industry standards.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components throughout the workday.
• Applies client style guidelines and queries deviations to achieve best outcomes.
• Leads editorial collaboration and may mentor teammates and provide training.
