Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Senior Coordinator for ASUA to oversee operational and administrative support for its student government bodies, including executive officers, Senate, and Supreme Court. The role ensures efficient office operations, governance logistics, and compliance with university policies.

This position also supports SafeRide and UAEMS operations and assists the Associate Dean in advancing departmental priorities and initiatives, while maintaining a welcoming front

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational support for ASUA Executive Officers, Senate, and Supreme Court.
  • Manage administrative operations for ASUA officers including calendars, meetings, and committees.
  • Oversee administrative operations for SafeRide and UAEMS.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures and workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Provide support to the Associate Dean of Students; coordinate priorities, meetings, events, communications, and projects.
  • Administer front desk operations, supervise student employees, and maintain customer-focused environment.
  • Process scholarships, stipends, and awards via UAccess Student with accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage procurement, facilities coordination, access, and office resources.
  • Review financial transactions for compliance with university policies.

Job description

The Senior Coordinator, ASUA, reports directly to the Associate Dean of Students for Student Leadership and Governance and coordinates the operational and administrative functions that support the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA), including the Executive Officers, Senate, and Supreme Court. This position independently administers office operations, governance logistics, financial and administrative processes, and front desk services while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The Senior Coordinator also coordinates administrative operations supporting SafeRide and University of Arizona Emergency Medical Services (UAEMS) and provides operational support to the Associate Dean in advancing departmental priorities and initiatives. This position ensures the efficient delivery of programs and services that support student leadership and ASUA governance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinates andadministers operational support for the Associated Students of the Universityof Arizona (ASUA) Executive Officers, Senate, and Supreme Court.
  • Managesadministrative operations for the ASUA Executive Officers by coordinatingcomplex calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing committees.
  • Coordinates andoversees administrative operations to ensure the efficient and effectivefunctioning of SafeRide and University of Arizona Emergency Medical Services(UAEMS).
  • Develops,evaluates, and implements administrative procedures and operational workflowsthat improve the efficiency and effectiveness of ASUA business operations,governance support, and office services.
  • Providesadministrative and operational support to the Associate Dean of Students forStudent Leadership and Governance by coordinating departmental priorities,meetings, events, communications, and special projects.
    Coordinateslogistical planning and scheduling for ASUA conference rooms, governancemeetings, special events, and travel arrangements.
  • Administers thedaily operations of the ASUA Front Desk by supervising student employees,coordinating staffing schedules, developing and maintaining operationalprocedures, and ensuring a professional, welcoming, and customer-focusedenvironment.
  • Administers scholarships,stipend, and award payment processes through UAccess Student by reviewing,processing, and monitoring transactions to ensure accuracy, timely completion,and compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Managesadministrative and office operations for ASUA, including procurement ofsupplies, facilities coordination, CatCard access, key management, andoversight of office resources.
  • Reviews ASUAfinancial transactions, ensuring compliance with University of Arizonafinancial policies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor'sdegree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional levelexperience required.
  • Minimum of threeyears of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education andwork experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting student government, student organizations, or shared governance bodies.
  • Experience supervising or leading student employees.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, and executive-level calendars.
  • Knowledge of University of Arizona policies, procedures, and business systems.
  • Experience coordinating administrative or operational functions, including scheduling, financial processing, event logistics, and office operations.
  • Experience interpreting and applying organizational policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
