The University of Arizona is seeking a State Relations Assistant to support the Office of State Relations and the Scottsdale Center. You will coordinate calendars, draft correspondence, manage travel, and prepare quarterly lobbying reports, while liaising with government officials and internal stakeholders to advance university priorities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are required to excel in this role, which includes event planning, office operations, and tracking
Position Highlights The State Relations Assistant provides high-level administrative support for the Office of State Relations while assisting the day-to-day operations of the University of Arizona Scottsdale Center. The position will require communication and collaboration with a broad range of campus and university stakeholders, including legislative staff, offices of elected officials, university stakeholders, and team members of university senior leadership team to support the function of the State Relations office. The position is also responsible for compiling and filing quarterly reports, and tracking legislation. Additionally, the position will be responsible for managing travel and financial reimbursements for the Government and Community Relations team operating out of the Scottsdale Center. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask, work independently to meet deadlines, clearly communicate, and have strong organizational skills.
