Job summary

Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Senior Cooling Systems Engineer to design and validate liquid and air cooling systems for radar and related hardware. This onsite role supports collaboration with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams across multiple sites.

The position requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years), plus expertise in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in cooling systems, liquid or air cooling, thermodynamics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to establish cooling system requirements.
• Design, analyze and document cooling hardware and systems.
• Select pumps and heat exchangers for optimal performance.
• Create and release drawings; manage changes with manufacturing.
• Support product integration domestically and internationally; travel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
