Qualifications

• One-year prior food prep experience; luxury hotel preferred.
• Strong knife and equipment skills.
• Ability to read, write and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clears and breaks down work station.
• Follow menus and recipes; prepare items per portions.
• Prepare a wide variety of menu items (roasting, broiling, baking, frying, steaming, stewing).
• Use kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas and equipment.
• Identify hazards and report issues to Manager.
• Supervise kitchen staff and maintain teamwork and communication.
• Control waste and food cost.
• Ensure proper product rotation and storage procedures.
