Job summary

The role requires experience in dining services, Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), basic reading/writing and math, and the ability to handle lifting and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Understanding of food service operations.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple calculations.
• Able to learn quickly and apply new principles.
• Experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety in food handling.
• Able to stand long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
• Report faulty equipment and issues with trays, temperatures, and storage.
