Job summary
Rovisys is seeking a Lead Controls Systems Engineer to design and lead building automation projects. You will guide a small engineering team, meet with customers, and help estimate hardware and engineering effort for proposals.
Responsibilities include instrument and control system design, panel layouts, and on-site startup and testing. You will configure DDC/PLC/DCS systems, validate functionality, and train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or related Technical Degree.
- 3+ years of experience in related field/industry.
- Controls experience with Rockwell, Aveva, Inductive, Distech, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with HVAC sequences, P&IDs and building automation concepts.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer meetings and provide technical guidance for a project team of 2-5 engineers.
- Estimate hardware costs and engineering effort for proposals.
- Create instrument lists from P&ID drawings and select appropriate devices.
- Configure DDC/PLC/DCS control algorithms and execute testing.
- Install software/configuration on site systems and support startup.
- Draft system documentation and train customer representatives on operations.
