Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Controls Platform System Integration Engineer to own quality, cost, and capability for wind turbine control platforms. The role involves advancing multi-disciplinary control programs to reduce renewable energy costs and improve performance across GE wind farms.

Responsibilities include defining high-level requirements, leading cross-functional teams, managing risks, and ensuring cost-effective system updates.

Qualifications

• BS degree in controls/CE/EE required.
• 4+ years with embedded controls and RTOS.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience leading projects in a global, matrix organization.
• MS degree in controls/CE/EE or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess automation needs vs. trends and contribute to multi-generation plans.
• Collaborate with PM and product teams to define high-level control requirements.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to implement requirements in controller design.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for on-time delivery.
• Oversee lifecycle cost tradeoffs to deliver required capability at competitive cost.
• Provide timely communication on significant technical issues.
• Present or review in technical and program reviews.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate requirements.
