Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Controls Quality Engineer - Operability to improve testing, reliability, and quality of wind turbine controls algorithms. The role partners with Controls Development to validate field behavior and ensure continuous improvement in validation strategies.

The position requires collaboration with fleet performance management, analysis of field data, and implementation of data-driven quality improvements. Travel up to 10% is expected; relocation assistance is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
• Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Relocation assistance provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead RCA and PAC investigations involving operability and controls behavior.
• Analyze fleet operational data to identify risks, opportunities, and defect trends.
• Evaluate control algorithms related to load mitigation, anomaly detection, and performance optimization.
• Drive improvements to validation strategies for field conditions.
• Identify defect escape pathways and implement preventive quality improvements.
• Support testing methodologies to improve operability defect detection.
