Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in Fort Worth, TX to own sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic and embedded configurations. You will lead root-cause analysis and drive control software updates to improve performance and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7+ years of experience with embedded systems, sensors and actuators, plus exposure to common protocols. Travel up to 10%; competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Controls, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering.
7+ years of controls engineering experience in a product/manufacturing environment.
2+ years of experience with control systems, embedded logic, sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities

Owns sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic and embedded configurations.
Investigates and resolves field and production controls issues through root-cause analysis.
Develops and validates control-software updates, parameter settings and diagnostics.
Leads cost-reduction, component-obsolescence and design-improvement projects for controls.
Supports production line troubleshooting, test-stand development and validation.
Maintains controls documentation, schematics, and change control (ECN/ECO).
Partners with suppliers on controls components and qualification.
Provides technical guidance to technicians and less-experienced engineers.
Travel up to 10%.
