Job summary

Carrier is seeking a senior controls engineer to own sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic and embedded configurations. You will investigate field and production issues, develop software updates and lead design-improvement projects for controls.

Qualifications include 7+ years in controls engineering, 2+ years with embedded logic, sensors and actuators, and HVAC experience is a plus. Travel up to 10% and collaboration with suppliers are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of controls engineering experience in product or manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years of experience with control systems, embedded logic, sensors and actuators.
• HVAC/refrigeration controls experience and protocol knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic and embedded configurations.
• Investigates and resolves field and production controls issues through root-cause analysis.
• Develops and validates control-software updates, parameter settings and diagnostics.
• Leads cost-reduction, component-obsolescence and design-improvement projects for controls.
• Supports production line troubleshooting, test-stand development and validation.
• Maintains controls documentation, schematics, and change control (ECN/ECO).
• Partners with suppliers on controls components and qualification.
• Provides technical guidance to technicians and less-experienced engineers.
• Travel up to 10%.
