Job summary

Auria is a leading global supplier of engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal and other fiber-based solutions. Sr Controls Engineer will join our North America Corporate Engineering Group and may be located at any US plant, with up to 50% travel to North America Plants.

The role requires designing and integrating advanced controls, robotics, PLC systems and networking, while ensuring safety and standards compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 5–7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC/HMI systems and related industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, update, and improve controls systems including robotics, PLC logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, motion controls, HMI, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Integrate machine and plant networking solutions for remote access, monitoring and data storage.
• Ensure new equipment meets Auria’s safety and controls standards with OEMs.
• Integrate barcode reading and OCR systems into equipment and tooling.
• Coordinate with management, engineering, maintenance to implement upgrades effectively.
• Self-teach new devices and controls systems as technology advances.
• Manage timelines and costs for each project.
• Assist in identifying critical spares for new and current equipment.
• Mentor and train plant controls engineers where applicable.
