Job summary
Torrey Holistics is seeking a Controls Engineer to own controls projects from design through startup. You will develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley and Siemens), configure HMIs, and integrate sensors, motors, and VFDs.
You’ll collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver robust automation solutions on diverse equipment. This role offers hands-on ownership with limited travel (about 10–15%) to support installation and customer startup, plus a chance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering preferred.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
- Experience with HMI programming.
- Strong knowledge of sensors, motors, and VFDs.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Willingness to travel ~10–15% for startup and support.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
- Program and configure HMIs for automated machinery.
- Integrate PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, and drives.
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues during build, testing, and startup.
- Provide field support and commissioning assistance on installations.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams.
