Cummins Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop, implement, and support PLC-based control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.

You will troubleshoot controls, electrical, and sensor issues, support stable operations, and contribute to safe, high-quality, and continuously improving production performance. Experience with PLCs, FANUC programming exposure is a plus, and the role is 100% onsite.

Responsabilités

• Configure, program, and support PLC-based machine controls on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot controls/electrical/sensor issues to restore production quickly and safely.
• Assist in designing and updating electrical control schematics and documentation.
• Execute improvement actions that enhance quality, stability, and uptime.
• Apply change control and maintain accurate revision history for control logic.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality to align solutions to plant goals.
• Support equipment startups, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Contribute to safety risk assessments and implement control safeguards/interlocks.
