Job summary

Marlen International, headquartered in Riverside, MO, seeks a Controls Engineer to design, program, test, and support control systems for its food processing equipment.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks across project lifecycles, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver reliable equipment and meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in controls engineering, automation, or industrial programming.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, test, and troubleshoot industrial control systems for new and existing equipment.
• Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, and drive control programs.
• Support electrical and controls design, including high- and low-voltage systems.
• Perform debugging, testing, and startup activities; troubleshoot circuits and control logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery and quality.
