Job summary

Control Devices, LLC, in Fenton, MO, seeks a Controls Engineer to drive electrical/control system development for manufacturing projects. You will design panels, write PLC and robot programs, develop HMI/SCADA interfaces, and support testing and commissioning across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable work experience in controls engineering.
• Strong understanding of process control principles, PLC programming, robotic programming, HMI development, and industrial network protocols.
• Experience with electrical control systems design and schematics development is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.
• Desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support control system engineering for assigned projects.
• Assist in feasibility studies and cost estimation.
• Design electrical control panels and schematics.
• Specify instrumentation and PLC/robot/HMI development.
• Program PLCs and robotics; support integration and testing.
• Develop and deploy HMI/SCADA applications and screen designs.
• Design, build, and maintain assembly and test equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
• Communicate progress, risks, and costs to project managers.
