E Tech Group in Portage, IN is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and startup of automation solutions for metals industry clients. You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver high-value control systems.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in industrial automation, PLC/SCADA, drives, and HMIs, with travel up to 30%. We offer a competitive benefits package, opportunities for mentorship, and a culture focused on teamwork

Qualifications

BS Engineering degree or equivalent
5+ years with AC/DC motors, drives, PLCs and HMIs
Industrial automation experience
Extensive PLC, VSD, SCADA experience
Strong software and data communications troubleshooting
Lead field start-up testing and site acceptance testing
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, coaters, furnaces, cooling systems

Responsibilities

Design and implement automation and control systems for metals industry applications
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to complete projects
Manage project budget and schedule requirements
Develop and maintain standards and best practices
Develop system and communication architecture for industrial projects
Specify and configure hardware such as AC/DC drives, switchgear, and control panels
Perform functional testing of electrical and control systems
Provide mentoring to junior engineers
Create functional requirements documentation and test procedures
Support sales in developing technical solutions
Uphold core values and support professional development of associates
