ENTEK Manufacturing LLC in Terre Haute, IN, seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to design, develop, and commission industrial automation systems powering manufacturing operations. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

The role emphasizes PLC/HMI development, startup leadership, and hands-on troubleshooting across multiple customer sites with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of controls engineering experience.
• Experience designing and commissioning industrial automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical docs.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI development.
• Experience troubleshooting automation systems in production environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC and HMI control systems for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC code and HMI applications.
• Develop control strategies using P&IDs, schematics, and scope documents.
• Lead equipment startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting at ENTEK facilities and customer sites.
• Develop project scopes, track schedules, and monitor budgets.
