Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Control System Integration Practice. You will work with a team of industry experts to deliver high-quality automation solutions for world-class clients.

The role requires leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication across project teams. You will design, implement, and validate control systems, including PLC/SCADA configurations, instrumentation, and start-up support, while traveling as needed for installations and

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of controls engineering experience in manufacturing.
Experience designing automation controls systems (PLC/SCADA).
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

Develop automation solutions across project phases, including specs, software config, testing, commissioning and startup of high-speed automated processes.
Design control systems and create project documentation and drawings per client requirements.
Diagnose automation problems and interface with teams, clients, and vendors.
Configure software and hardware packages per client design specifications; program PLCs and HMI/SCADAs.
Manage project deliverables, schedules, scope, and site construction/start-up activities.
Ensure turnover of the system to the customer following established protocols.
