Job summary

Axelon Services Corporation in Fremont, CA is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design, program, install, startup and troubleshoot automated industrial control systems for chemical plants using DCS, PLC and SCADA. The role focuses on process automation of chemical plants and requires experience with ultrahigh purity materials for semiconductors and hands-on work with Siemens, Rockwell and Emerson platforms.

Onsite 12-month contract at $100/hr.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
10+ years of relevant experience in chemical plant control systems.
Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS programming for chemical plants.
Experience with process control hardware and software standards.
Hands-on experience with Siemens, Rockwell, and Emerson automation tools.
Ability to develop electrical schematics and ethernet-based networks.

Responsibilities

Drive safety culture and first-time quality in daily operations.
Develop and support plant control system hardware, software, and field instruments.
Troubleshoot control systems and implement corrective actions.
Participate in design reviews and PHAs as a team member or leader.
Configure PLC, DCS, and SCADA control systems.
Work with hazardous chemicals at a manufacturing facility.
Assist with design basis and documentation for facilities.
Assist with loop tests and interlock tests for new processes and ISO testing.
Complete trainings and tasks successfully.
Understand electrical distribution and power loading in control systems.
