Job summary
GAS Energy Staffing LLC is sourcing a Senior Controls Engineer for a client project in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on PLC/DCS/SCADA design, programming, startup, and troubleshooting for automated industrial systems in chemical plants.
You will lead hardware/software configuration, participate in design reviews, and ensure safe operation of control systems within hazardous environments. A strong background in SI and NEC codes is required.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of PLC/DCS experience in chemical plant design and operation.
- Experience with SILs and LOPA for safety integrity.
- Knowledge of UL/NEC codes for hazardous materials handling.
- Experience with instrument engineering and electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Drive a culture of Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time through daily actions.
- Develop and support plant control system hardware, software, and field instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot control systems and implement corrective actions independently.
- Participate in design reviews and PHAs as required.
- Configure and program PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for plants.
- Work with hazardous chemicals in a manufacturing facility.
- Assist with design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, specs, and interlock matrices.
