Job summary

JLL is hiring a Building Controls Specialist to oversee maintenance and operations of power monitoring systems in a multi-site region. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure reliable, energy-efficient building performance.

The role requires expertise in PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networks, with focus on Metasys, Visio, and data systems. Onsite schedule is Mon-Fri, with regional responsibilities across NC and beyond.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (as baseline).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, testing, and maintaining control systems in industrial settings.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
• Familiarity with power monitoring and energy management systems.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operations of power monitoring systems within a regional area.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Modify or build Visio drawings for field changes and discrepancies.
• Provide energy management oversight for NC sites and other regions as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on energy systems and meters; monitor logs and ISO metrics.
• Respond to service calls to restore system operation.
• Recommend energy-efficient operation and modifications; validate cybersecurity requirements.
