Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking an Associate Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Pontiac, IL. You will test, modify, and optimize control systems and collaborate with design, operation, and purchasing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include data analysis, documenting procedures, and providing training and troubleshooting support to staff and customers. You will work with APC, DCS, PLC, and SCADA platforms while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university
• Ability to write technical documents and business proposals
• Knowledge of APC, DCS, PLC, and SCADA
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have ability to work successfully with computers and software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ladder logic, Step 7, ASI Gateway

Responsibilities

• Tests and modifies existing control systems
• Reviews, revises and improves procedures and documents
• Analyzes data and reports results with management and staff
• Collaborates with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff
• Provides technical/troubleshooting support for mechanical and electrical issues
• Ensures compliance with safety and quality regulations
• Provides training and consulting support for new employees, technical staff, and customers
• Develops new business proposals
