Job summary

J.R. Automation Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for an onsite role in Holland, Michigan. You will design and code control software using PLCs and HMIs, program robotic and control systems, and ensure startup and commissioning meet customer specifications.

You will work closely with customers, travel up to 25% to site locations, and contribute to a collaborative engineering-driven environment that supports safe, high-quality project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or technical equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and networking protocols (DNET, ENET, Profibus).

Responsibilities

• Develop and design control software using PLCs and HMIs to meet customer specifications.
• Program robotic and/or controls equipment per project requirements.
• Commission and start up systems at customer sites; provide on-site support and training.
