Job summary

BAC in Jessup, MD is seeking a Senior Engineer, Advanced Controls Applications to lead control solutions for complex customer projects, collaborating with thermal, mechanical, electrical, software, and product engineering teams.

You will manage multiple assignments, mentor junior engineers, and support sales inquiries while aligning with BAC’s architecture and standards. Travel domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in industrial controls, automation, HVAC controls, or related engineering disciplines.
• Proven experience solving complex engineering problems and leading technical efforts on high-impact applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver controls solutions for complex, non-standard applications in core markets and growth segments.
• Analyze technical data and make engineering decisions consistent with standards and objectives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration.
• Engage with vendors and manufacturing facilities to support project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support development of reusable logic, engineering tools, and templates.
